The emergence of smart technologies is changing global business practices, with service sector companies leveraging these advancements to improve customer service delivery.
The COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 significantly accelerated this trend, compelling businesses to adopt more innovative approaches.
Equator Energy, an energy service provider specializing in bulk power supply and power system installations, has developed a smart power purchasing platform. This solution enables electricity consumers to remotely purchase power from their current location.
The platform, named "BuyPower Gh," will be available as both a web and mobile application. It features a user-friendly interface for convenient prepaid electricity purchases.
The app will be compatible with both major mobile platforms - Android and iOS - and will be available for download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, respectively.
Speaking in an interview, Chief Operations Officer of Equator Energy Limited, David Eyison, expressed his satisfaction with the effectiveness of the platform so far and promised users to expect a less cumbersome interface.
“Our BuyPower Gh app stands out for its intuitive interface and seamless user experience, making purchasing electricity very simple. With real-time updates, users can effortlessly manage their power consumption and make informed decisions on using power wisely.
“Purchasing prepaid electricity through our BuyPower app does not come with any extra transactional charges and users would receive the exact amount of power purchased,” he said.
He continued, “The App can also be used by post-paid customers to pay off their electricity bills directly to the Electricity Company of Ghana.”
