Ghana’s telecom giant, MTN, has been supporting various youth groups in ICT across the country, thus providing tailored-made business solutions to meet their needs.
The latest support is the 2025 edition of the World MSMEs celebration, which took place last Friday, June 27, 2025, at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra.

The event, which was held in Ghana for the first time, was under the theme “Empowering MSMEs, Connecting Entrepreneurs for a Digital and Sustainable Future”.
The World MSME Day 2025 celebration aimed to empower Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) by promoting digital adoption and sustainable growth, focused on equipping MSMEs with digital tools and connecting them with essential infrastructure to enhance their operations and access to finance.

The MTN delegation to the program, which included Chief Enterprise Officer Angela Mensah Poku, as well as Chief Commercial and Operations Officer Abdul Razak Ali, was led by the Chief Corporate Services and Sustainability Officer, Adwoa Afriyie Wiafe.
Some of the personalities from the diplomatic institutions in Ghana included UNDP's Deputy Resident Representative in Ghana, Madam Shaima Hussein.

The program was opened by the Minister of Trade and Agribusiness, Madam Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare.
As part of the program, exhibitors displayed a wide range of made-in-Ghana products.
At the MTN’s stand, the Minister, together with the Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Enterprise Agency, Margaret Ansei, and other dignitaries, got a briefing on the company’s latest broadband service.
