In a grand celebration of entrepreneurial excellence, the Ghana Entrepreneurs Foundation has recognised 31 of the country’s most distinguished business leaders at its 15th Anniversary Awards and Dinner Gala held on Friday, 1st August 2025.

The prestigious event conferred honours on six eminent individuals under the Legacy Lifetime Achievement Award category, acknowledging their enduring contributions to industry, national development, and economic innovation.

Those recognised included H.R.M. Naa Prof. Edmund Nminyem Delle Chiir VIII; Dr Paul Kofi Fynn, Chancellor and Founder of Wisconsin International University College, Ghana; and Dr Felix Kwaku Anyah, Executive Chairman of Holy Trinity Medical Centre & Holy Trinity SPA and Health Farm.

Also receiving the Legacy honour were Dr Francis Akuamoah Boateng, Founder and Executive Chairman of Strategic Security Systems International Ltd; Mr Parshotam Aidasani, Founder and Chairman of the Jay Kay Group; and Mr Gopal Vasu, Chief Executive Officer of M & G Pharmaceuticals Ltd.

Their recognition symbolised decades of influence, vision, and transformation across sectors such as security, healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and higher education.

In addition, the Foundation named 25 industry leaders as the Top Most Influential Entrepreneurs of All Time, celebrating individuals whose enterprises have shaped Ghana’s socio-economic landscape over the years.

Among the awardees were Mr Bernard Joseph of Sunshine Healthcare Ltd; Dr Joseph Siaw Agyepong of the Jospong Group of Companies; Ms Esther Cobbah of Stratcomm Africa; Dr Mrs Ellen Hagan of LAINE Services Ltd; and Mr Mukesh V. Thakwani of B5 Plus Group.

The list also featured noted industrialists such as Dr Theresa Oppong-Beeko of Manet Group, Mr Hayssam Fakhry of Interplast Ltd, Dr Osei Kwame of Despite Group of Companies, Dr Ernest Ofori Sarpong of Special Group of Companies, and Dr Daniel McKorley of the McDan Group, among others.

Their diverse enterprises span manufacturing, insurance, logistics, media, pharmaceuticals, and beyond.

The event, which drew captains of industry, government officials, diplomats, and academics, underscored the central role of entrepreneurship in Ghana’s economic development.

The awards not only recognised business acumen but also celebrated resilience, innovation, and the long-term impact of private enterprise.

The founder of Ghana Enterpreneurs Foundation, Mr. Sam Ato Gaisie, described the honourees as “torchbearers of economic transformation” whose legacies continue to inspire emerging generations of Ghanaian entrepreneurs.
