Marketing and Communications professional Edward Asare delivered a compelling talk titled “Be Visible” at the TEDx University of Cape Coast (UCC) 2025 event, urging young people and professionals to leverage digital platforms as tools for visibility and opportunity.
In his presentation, Edward shared his personal journey of rejection and unemployment after completing national service, a period where he felt “invisible” to employers.

Determined to change his circumstances, he turned to the internet and digital media to tell his story and position himself for opportunities.
“Your CV and résumé are not enough. The real question is: if someone searches for you online today, what will they find?” he challenged the audience.
Edward outlined four key lessons from his experience:
Your story is your SEO – use digital media to shape what others discover about you.

It’s not about numbers, but the right audience – opportunities come from being found by the right people, not necessarily from having millions of followers.
Trust is a currency – meaningful engagement online builds credibility and relationships.
Digital platforms are portfolios – use them to showcase your skills and expertise, not just for popularity.
He encouraged consistency in sharing insights, experiences, and achievements, emphasizing that digital presence can be the difference between rejection and recognition.
“I will not say I have arrived yet, but I am on my way there—just one post at a time,” he said, drawing applause from the audience.
Edward Asare currently works with Enterprise Insurance as a Digital Marketer and has built a reputation as one of Ghana’s leading digital voices. Beyond his corporate career, he is a mentor, trainer, and influencer who helps individuals and organizations communicate their value effectively.
His “Be Visible” talk at TEDx UCC 2025 has been hailed as a timely reminder that in today’s interconnected world, visibility is as critical as ability.
