The African Paralympic Committee (AfPC) has announced a groundbreaking virtual engagement with the two confirmed candidates for the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Presidency.
The special dialogue, scheduled for Tuesday, 16th September 2025, at 14:00 GMT (Accra), is set to give Africa’s para-sport leaders a direct voice in shaping the future of the Paralympic Movement.
The candidates, Mr. Bae Dong Hyun (10:00 AM Accra time) and President Andrew George Parsons (12:00 PM Accra time), will each present their vision and respond to questions from African National Paralympic Committees (NPCs).
The structured format ensures transparency, inclusivity, and meaningful exchange, with the entire process expected to last three hours.
AfPC President Mr. Samson Deen emphasized the importance of this moment:
“This is Africa’s moment to listen, engage, and assert our vision for the future of para-sport. I urge every African NPC to be present and contribute to these critical conversations with the IPC presidential candidates.”
The AfPC is strongly encouraging all NPC Presidents, Secretaries-General, and representatives across the continent to participate.
Their active involvement will demonstrate Africa’s unity, amplify its influence, and reinforce the continent’s determination to advance inclusion, equity, and growth in global para-sport.
