National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, is urging members of the NDC who have not gotten any government appointments to continue to stay loyal to the party and support President Mahama to succeed.
He indicated that the number of people qualified for appointments is more than the number of slots available, making it impossible to appoint every party member to government.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah was quick to add that President Mahama has a four-year term and an option to reshuffle, hence the possibility of the many qualified individuals serving in government is higher, urging members to wait for their time.
"It is better to be a floor member in government than to be the same in opposition. Those teasing you that you didn't have appointments for all your struggles are jealous of you. They wish their party were in power. Stay focused and wait for your time," Asiedu Nketiah told party members.
Addressing members of the NDC made up of branch and constituency Executives, ward coordinators, former executives, cadres, Assembly members and some identifiable groups in the Asuogyaman district, Mr Asiedu Nketiah expressed satisfaction over the level of dedication and commitment exhibited by the party executives and entire membership towards the 2024 electoral victory.
"In the last election, I decided to target specific constituencies to campaign and make sure that we win the parliamentary seats. When I came around, I saw your enthusiasm and commitment towards our collective goal of winning power and promised to come back for a victory party.

Unfortunately, it was delayed, but I am finally here to thank you for the support you gave the NDC's Asiedu Nketiah on his mission
He noted that all the party executives deserve another term if only they wish to contest in their respective positions.
Mr. Asiedu Nketiah assured the party members of more job opportunities including vacancies in the Police and other security agencies, urging members to take advantage and join when the agencies are announced
Mr. Johnson Asiedu Nketiah is on a three-day Thank You Tour to the Eastern Region.
His first day covers the Asuogyaman, Lower Manya Krobo, Upper Manya Krobo, Yilo Krobo and the Okere constituency.
