The much-anticipated Miss Malaika Radiant Season Diaries premiered on Tuesday, 16 September 2025, with Michelle Agyekum as host.
The new show is dedicated to interviews with past queens, reviews of the competition, behind-the-scenes moments, fashion and makeup highlights, as well as interactive segments with contestants.
The premiere episode featured Lucile Naa Kwaley King, a freelance model, YouTuber and Miss Malaika Ghana’s Glow Up Queen for 2024. Lucile, a graduate of the University of Birmingham, is recognised as a public figure who champions personal branding while promoting a modest, faith-based lifestyle.
Joining the discussion was Robert Klah, Head of Public Events & Communications at Charterhouse Productions. He also serves as Project Director and spokesperson for the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, a regular panellist on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz morning show, and organiser of the Ghana Dance Festival and Awards.
The conversation centred on expectations for the new season, contestant preparations and the evolving image of Miss Malaika Ghana. Robert addressed misconceptions about entry requirements, stressing that “height does not matter” in the selection of contestants.
Lucile reflected on her journey to becoming a queen, describing the experience as transformative.
“It was not an easy one, but it was very rewarding,” she said. “There are challenges, but they shape you as a woman. It helps you grow, teaches you how to communicate, and really stretches you in a good way. I will never be the same person again.”
She added that the pageant instilled in her the value of discipline and consistency.
“Hard work is so important. I’m naturally a perfectionist, and in pageantry, that doesn’t always guarantee success. But I’m glad I pushed through, it showed me resilience.”
Robert, for his part, explained that contestants are selected not only for beauty but also for intellect, confidence and character.
Miss Malaika Radiant Season Diaries promises viewers more engaging interviews and behind-the-scenes stories as the season unfolds.
