George Quaye and Arnold Asamoah Baidoo will return to the stage in the hit play Run For Your Wife on Sunday, 28th September 2025, at the National Theatre in Accra.
This is as part of this year’s Ghana Theatre Festival.
The play, directed by Quaye, will be staged twice at 4pm and 8pm. It promises a lively mix of laughter and suspense, with theatre lovers eager to see the celebrated producer-actor and the media personality reunite.
Quaye, whose career in theatre and television has made him a household name, will lead the cast as Adjei Sowah, a taxi driver secretly juggling two wives in different homes. Arnold Asamoah-Baidoo, noted for his sharp wit and commanding presence, joins him on stage alongside Naa Ashorkor and Andrew Tandoh-Adote.
Written by British playwright Ray Cooney, Run For Your Wife has long been a crowd favourite for its outrageous twists and mistaken identities. The Ghanaian adaptation underscores the dynamism of the local theatre scene while highlighting Quaye and Baidoo’s powerful stage partnership.
The production also aligns with the Ghana Theatre Festival’s aim of celebrating creative excellence and supporting the growth of the performing arts industry.
Run For Your Wife is one of the festival’s headline shows and is expected to attract large crowds. Organisers have advised early ticket bookings to secure seats for the single-day run.
Support for the production has come from Nii Plants Car Rentals, Joy FM, Joy Prime TV, Hitz FM and Bill Micro Credit.
