The Ministry of Education has assured parents and students of a smooth resolution process under the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) as thousands flood resolution centers nationwide to secure Senior High School admissions.
On Friday, September 19, scores of parents and students thronged centers across the country after more than 107,000 candidates missed out on automatic placement into Senior High Schools.
The Deputy Minister of Education, Dr. Clement Apaak, who visited the GNAT Hall in Accra to monitor proceedings, reassured parents that every case will be addressed before the official reporting date of October 18.
“As a ministry and a government, we will do our best to meet the needs of every student. While not everyone may secure their school of choice, there are other schools equally capable of meeting their educational needs and aspirations,” Dr. Apaak said.
He explained that the October 18 reporting date was deliberately set to provide ample time for challenges with placements to be resolved.
“Even if we are not able to solve every problem, we will solve most of them before the reporting date,” he added.
Dr. Apaak also encouraged parents to remain patient and cooperate with officials at the centers to ensure a smooth process.
The Ministry is expected to continue its monitoring visits across the regions to ensure that all qualified students are placed in schools ahead of the start of the academic year.
