The finals of third week of the ITF Junior men’s and women’s doubles took place at the Accra Tennis Court, serving up thrilling encounters that kept fans on the edge of their seats.
The event which is hosted by the Ghana Tennis Federation saw both matches showcase exciting rallies, remarkable teamwork, and the immense potential of the athletes on display.
In the men’s doubles final, Daniuma Lucky of Nigeria and Bai Lantian of China battled past their opponents in a gripping contest, eventually sealing victory 6-4, 3-6, 13-11.
The women’s doubles final proved equally dramatic. Nigeria’s Ohunene Yakubu and Success Oguniobi outlasted their Moroccan and Saudi Arabian opponents in another nail-biter, triumphing 6-4, 3-6, 14-12.
The competition now shifts focus to the ITF singles finals, which are scheduled for Saturday, September 20, 2025, also at the Accra Tennis Center.
The Ghana Tennis Federation has hosted the ITF Junior Tournament since 2018, with this year marking the seventh edition of the prestigious competition.
