President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Okraku, has been appointed as the Chairperson of the FIFA Anti-Racism and Anti-Discrimination Committee.
His appointment spans a four-year term, from 2025 to 2029.
In this new role, Kurt will lead FIFA’s strategic efforts and reforms aimed at combating racism and all forms of discrimination in football worldwide.
He will be supported by Mark Wade of Bermuda, who has been appointed Deputy Chairperson, alongside 19 other members drawn from FIFA’s member associations.
Kurt previously served as President of the West African Football Union (WAFU Zone B) for two consecutive terms before his elevation to the position of 2nd Vice President of CAF.
Meanwhile, the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association, Prosper Harrison Addo, Esq, has been appointed as a member of the FIFA Legal Committee.
His appointment, in line with the relevant provisions of the FIFA Statutes and FIFA Governance Regulations, also spans a four-year term from 2025 to 2029.
The FIFA Legal Committee is responsible for advising and assisting the FIFA Council on legal matters, including statutory interpretation, regulatory frameworks, and governance issues within global football.
