St. Mary’s Senior High School has marched confidently into the one-eighth stage of the 2025 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) after an outstanding display of brilliance and teamwork in their preliminary contest.
The all-girls’ school proved their mettle once again, securing an impressive 52 points to dominate the contest. Kadjebi Asato SHS followed with 29 points, while Krachi SHS could only manage 9 points, ending their campaign at the national stage.

St. Mary’s truly shone in the Problem of the Day, where they delivered a flawless 10 out of 10, drawing applause from the audience and admiration from the quiz mistress. Krachi SHS also showed promise with 6 out of 10, while Kadjebi Asato SHS struggled, earning just 1 out of 10.

Their brilliance didn’t stop there. The Merries went on to crack three riddles correctly in the final round — a performance that not only sealed their victory but also earned them GH₵2,000 from Prudential Life Insurance and GH₵800 from GOIL PLC in special round bonuses.
