Former President Nana Akufo‑Addo, his wife, and several former senior government officials, including the Chief of Staff and the Ministers for Defence, Interior, Transport and Lands, were among the dignitaries who gathered today to pay their respects to the late Nana Konadu Agyeman‑Rawlings.
The solemn occasion followed the passing of the former First Lady, widely remembered for her activism and detemination in advancing women’s rights, who died on 23 October 2025 at age 76.

In a show of national mourning and bipartisan respect, the former president and his spouse joined an array of political figures at the residence of the late Nana Konadu, where tributes were being paid.

The former President also signed the book of condolence in the company of his wife, Rebecca Akufo-Addo.

Among those present were former ministers and high-level officials who served in prior governments.
Her legacy as the founder of the 31st December Women’s Movement and her leadership in the emancipation of women remain prominent in the national memory, and today’s turnout of public figures illustrates that legacy.
Founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Otchere-Darko and Member of Parliament for Damongo, Samuel Abu Jinapor were also present.
