New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has called on Ghanaians to liberate themselves by voting for him in the upcoming presidential primary, to enable him to become President of the Republic.
Speaking during his campaign engagement with delegates in Talon in the Northern Region on Tuesday, October 28, the former Assin Central Member of Parliament said his vision is to create sustainable job opportunities that will improve the standard of living for citizens.
"Liberate yourself by voting for Kennedy Agyapong to create businesses so that you can take care of your own children without going to Ministers and politicians to beg them for your child's school fees," he said.
Mr Agyapong stated that his leadership would focus on empowering local industries, supporting entrepreneurship, and building a self-reliant economy.
He promised to establish fertiliser factories in the northern belt of the country, challenging the people to make available 40,000 acres of land. He stated that this project would provide immediate employment opportunities for residents.
"We need a fertiliser plant here and Talon you are very close to Tamale so take advantage of what I am telling you, go and look for a land, I need 40,000 acres and challenge me if I will not be able to do it for you to see. Whether I win or not, give me 40,000 acres and see the factory I am going to put here," he added.
He urged delegates to vote for “a business-minded leader who puts money in people’s pockets,” stressing that Ghana needs practical economic transformation rather than political rhetoric.
