The National Ambulance Service (NAS) has opened an investigation following the circulation of a TikTok video that appears to capture a trainer engaging in alleged misconduct with a recruit at the National Ambulance Training School in Nkenkaasu.
The footage, which has been widely shared online, seems to depict the trainer, identified as Philip Kwame Twumasi, in an inappropriate exchange with recruit Karim Latif. The video has triggered significant public concern, prompting the NAS to respond swiftly and initiate inquiries into the matter.
In a statement released on Saturday, 22nd November 2025, the Service described the footage as “disturbing” and reaffirmed its zero-tolerance policy on bullying, harassment, and any form of discriminatory conduct within its training facilities.
“We strongly condemn any form of bullying, harassment, or discriminatory behavior, and we are deeply disturbed by the actions depicted in the video,” the statement read.

“The safety and well-being of our recruits is our top priority,” said Deputy Director of Public Relations, Mr. Simmons Yussif Kewura, who signed the release.
“NAS is committed to maintaining a culture of respect, inclusivity, and professionalism, and we will not tolerate any behavior that undermines this.”
