Private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu says he has not been formally charged by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) despite his recent arrest at the institution’s premises.
Speaking on JoyNews’ AM Show on Friday, December 5, Kpebu clarified that although he was detained and later granted bail, no specific charge has been communicated to him by investigators.
“I have not been charged," he stated.
Kpebu was arrested earlier in the week after what the OSP described as a confrontation with its officers.
He had visited the office to assist in investigations into corruption allegations he filed against Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng.
The arrest has since intensified his criticism of the OSP, which he accuses of unprofessional conduct.
According to him, the lack of clarity regarding his supposed offence only strengthens his concerns about the agency’s operational methods.
Mr Kpebu maintained that he will continue to pursue his allegations against the Special Prosecutor, insisting that due process must be respected by all state institutions.
