The University of Ghana has announced a revised start date for course registration for undergraduate students entering the First Semester of the 2025/26 academic year.
According to the Academic Affairs Directorate, course registration will now officially begin on Monday, December, 15, 2025, instead of the previously communicated date.
In a notice signed by the Director of Academic Affairs, Lydia Anowa Nyako-Danquah, the university encouraged students to take advantage of the earlier start to secure their preferred courses and complete their registration without delay.
“We encourage students to take advantage of this earlier start to secure their courses and complete registration promptly,” the statement read.
While the start date has been revised, the registration deadlines remain unchanged for all student categories.
Students are advised to consult the university’s academic calendar available online at https://www.ug.edu.gh/academics/calendar for further details.

- Academic issues: Contact your respective College Academic Office.
- Financial issues: Contact the Students' Accounts Office.
In addition, the university announced tentative dates for random bed allocation for regular students:
- Continuing students: Monday, 29th December 2025
- Level 100 students: Monday, 12th January 2026
The university emphasised that timely sign-up is essential for students wishing to participate in the random bed allocation process.
