The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA), Greater Accra Region, has honoured fast-rising music talent AMISTY GH with the Discovery Artist of the Year Award at its End of Year Fundraising Dinner and Awards Ceremony.
The award citation, presented by MUSIGA Greater Accra, recognised AMISTY GH’s strong showing as an independent artist and praised his dedication, creativity, and growing impact in promoting Ghanaian music and culture, both locally and internationally.
According to the citation, the honour acknowledges the artiste’s hard work, consistency and increasing influence within the music industry over the past year.
The colourful ceremony brought together musicians, industry players, cultural enthusiasts and supporters of the arts.
It formed part of MUSIGA’s annual fundraising activities aimed at improving the welfare of musicians and supporting the growth of the creative arts sector in Ghana.
MUSIGA used the occasion to highlight the importance of identifying and nurturing emerging talents, noting that AMISTY GH represents a new generation of artistes helping to reshape Ghana’s music scene through originality and commitment.
Responding to the recognition, AMISTY GH expressed appreciation to MUSIGA Greater Accra, describing the award as a major source of motivation.
He said the honour would inspire him to work even harder and stay focused on making a positive contribution to Ghana’s music industry and cultural heritage.
The Discovery Artist of the Year Award is one of MUSIGA’s initiatives aimed at celebrating excellence while encouraging young and independent artistes to pursue their craft with professionalism, discipline and passion.
