President John Dramani Mahama has extended warm New Year greetings to Ghanaians, expressing optimism that 2026 will bring prosperity, peace and national progress.
In a New Year message released to mark the beginning of the year, the President encouraged citizens to embrace hope, unity and a shared commitment to national development as the country charts its course for the months ahead.
“May the new year, 2026, bring us all prosperity, peace, and progress,” the message said.
The President’s remarks, delivered a few minutes into the new year, come at a time when many Ghanaians are reflecting on the challenges of the previous year and looking ahead to renewed opportunities for economic recovery, social cohesion, and inclusive growth.
The message underscores the importance of collective effort and national solidarity in achieving shared goals.
The New Year greeting also reaffirmed the government’s focus on building a stable and peaceful society while pursuing policies aimed at improving livelihoods and strengthening Ghana’s democratic and development institutions.
As Ghanaians usher in 2026, the President’s message has resonated as a call for renewed commitment to hard work, unity and optimism, with the hope that the year ahead will deliver meaningful progress for individuals, communities and the nation as a whole.
