The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Asutifi North in the Ahafo Region, Dauda Hafiz, has appealed to the government to prioritise the completion of the Agenda 111 health facility at Kenyasi to enhance quality healthcare delivery in the district.
He made the call during a visit by the National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, to the chiefs and people of Asutifi North.
The DCE explained that the district’s growing population, largely driven by mining activities, has put enormous pressure on existing health facilities, leaving residents without access to a well-equipped hospital.
According to him, completing the Agenda 111 project, which was started by the previous government, is critical to addressing the healthcare needs of the area.

He noted that the Ahafo Regional Minister, Charity Gardiner, has been engaging the government to ensure the Kenyasi facility is included among projects earmarked for immediate completion and commissioning, and he called on the NDC National Chairman to also add his voice to the appeal.
Dauda Hafiz further revealed that due to the lack of comprehensive healthcare services in the district, many residents are forced to travel to Hwidiem, Goaso, Sunyani, and even Kumasi to seek medical care.
Meanwhile, the Member of Parliament for Asutifi North, Ebenezer Kwaku Addo, urged party members to remain united and protect the party’s current political power to accelerate development in the area.
He argued that the New Patriotic Party (NPP), which held the parliamentary seat for 24 years, failed to bring significant development to the constituency, stressing that the focus should now be on consolidating gains and delivering on development promises.
