Black Stars midfielder Ibrahim Sulemana is set to join Cagliari for the remainder of the 2025/26 season.
The Ghanaian is close to completing a loan spell until the end of the season at his former club before the close of the January transfer window.
Sulemana has struggled for game time at Bologna since joining the club last summer from rivals Atalanta on a permanent deal.
The 22-year-old has been the subject of interest from Serie A clubs including Genoa, Cagliari and Sassuolo.
However, the Ghanaian youngster has chosen to return to his former club as he targets more game time to rekindle his 2026 World Cup ambitions.
Sulemana made 24 appearances for Cagliari during the 2023/24 season, scoring two goals before sealing a move to Atalanta in 2024.
This season, the midfielder has only managed four appearances for Bologna, prompting a temporary exit from the club to seek for playing time.
Sulemana is already in Cagliari to complete the move ahead of an official announcement from the club.
