NRSA announces withdrawal of PRO following ISD directive

The National Road Safety Authority (NRSA) has formally announced the withdrawal of Mrs Pearl Adusu-Sactekla from her role as Public Relations Officer of the Authority.

In a press release issued on Thursday, January 22, the NRSA explained that the decision follows a directive from the Information Services Department (ISD), which has requested Mrs Adusu-Sactekla to return to her substantive office. As a result of this directive, she is no longer serving with the Authority.

"This follows a directive from the Information Service Department return to their office. Consequently, Mrs Sactekla is no longer with the Authority," the statement read.

The NRSA acknowledged Mrs Adusu-Sactekla’s contributions during her tenure and expressed appreciation for her dedication and service while she served as the Authority’s spokesperson.

"We acknowledge her contributions during her tenure and extend our appreciation for her dedicated service."

The Authority further announced new arrangements for handling media and public relations matters.

With immediate effect, all media enquiries and public communications are to be directed to the Head of Corporate Affairs, Simbiat Wiredu, or the Assistant Corporate Affairs Manager, Comfort Owusu, until further notice.

"Effective immediately, al media and public relations inquiries should be directed to the Head, Corporate Affairs (Simbiat Wiredu) or the Assistant Corporate Affairs Manager (Comfort Owusu) at Simbiaf.wiredu@nrsa.gov.gh or 0248041040 and comfort.arhinful@nrsa.gov.gh or 0276849208, respectively, until further notice."

The NRSA has appealed to the media and the general public to cooperate fully by channelling all communications through the designated officers, in order to ensure effective and coordinated dissemination of information.

"We kindly request your cooperation in channelling all communications appropriately," the statement concluded.
