Hundreds of fitness enthusiasts, corporate executives, and young professionals turned out in large numbers for the 2026 edition of the Joy FM Big Workout on Saturday, with organisers describing the event as a resounding success.

Participants have already begun calling for the wellness initiative to become a regular monthly or quarterly feature, according to feedback from the event.

"A great event by all standards. Good patronage, a lot of fun. Everyone worked hard to pull this off. Our patrons were happy and are already asking for this to be a regular monthly or quarterly event. God bless everyone," organisers said in a statement.
From the early hours of the morning, participants converged at the University of Ghana Stadium car park, trading business wear for sneakers as the day's activities kicked off with a brisk, coordinated health walk through parts of Accra.

The route took walkers from the stadium through the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), passing by the Trinity Church area before continuing to the Bawaleshie traffic light.
Organised by The Multimedia Group, the Joy FM Big Workout has become a flagship wellness event aimed at promoting healthy lifestyles and encouraging regular physical activity among Ghanaians.

The atmosphere was charged with energy as participants of all ages and fitness levels joined in, many sporting branded t-shirts and caps while engaging in warm conversations and networking.
