Ghanaian patrons and participants of the 2026 edition of Women of Valour (WoV) have arrived in London ahead of the highly anticipated global conference scheduled for March 7.
The delegation departed Accra and touched down in London on March 5, two days before the main event, which will be held at the London Hilton on Park Lane, 22 Park Lane, Mayfair. The group arrived in high spirits, expressing excitement about participating in what organisers describe as a powerful gathering of women united by courage, resilience and purpose.

Upon arrival, the WoV organising team welcomed participants at the airport and facilitated their transfer to their hotel, ensuring a smooth transition into the historic city that will host this year’s conference.
London - a city shaped by monarchy, global politics, finance, fashion and culture - provides a fitting backdrop for the event’s expanding international vision. Participants are being accommodated at the Hilton London Kensington, selected for its central location and accessibility to several iconic landmarks. Nearby attractions include Westfield Shepherd’s Bush, Kensington Gardens, Notting Hill and Kensington Palace.
London was selected as the host city for its vibrant African and global diaspora communities, which align with the platform’s mission of inspiring women through shared stories of courage, resilience and personal transformation.

Founded by multiple award-winning Ghanaian broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, Women of Valour has grown into a powerful storytelling platform that recognises and amplifies the voices of women who have overcome extraordinary adversity.
The 2026 edition, themed “The Pursuit of Fearlessness,” will spotlight coordinated action to protect women and girls while celebrating the strength of women who have transformed pain into purpose.
Several speakers for the conference have already arrived in London, including Debora Shanley, a Cambodian-American survivour advocate known for her work raising awareness about childhood sexual abuse.
The event will also feature two major West African media and entertainment figures - Ghanaian media icon Nana Ama McBrown and acclaimed Nigerian actress Kate Henshaw.
Kate Henshaw, widely respected for her advocacy and decades-long acting career, says attendees should expect genuine and powerful conversations.
Also joining the lineup is Lesley Batchelor CBE, a respected British international trade expert and Chief Executive Officer of Export Boot Camps. She previously served as Director General of the UK Institute of Export and International Trade and is widely recognised for her contributions to global trade development and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The 2026 conference marks the fourth edition of Women of Valour and represents a significant milestone as the movement expands its global reach - from its beginnings in Accra to Paris, and now London.
Organisers say this year’s event will feature powerful testimonies, impactful discussions and meaningful networking opportunities, all aimed at empowering women to confront fear, reclaim their voices and inspire the next generation.
For the hundreds travelling from Ghana and other parts of the world, the journey to London represents participation in a growing global movement celebrating the strength and resilience of women.
