Ghanaian dance scholar and choreographer Terry Bright Ofosu has lauded the new generation of dancers for taking Ghanaian culture to the international stage.
Speaking on Daybreak Hitz, he expressed admiration for the achievements of young Ghanaian dancers such as Dancegod Lloyd, Endurance Grand, Incredible Zigi, AfroNita, and Flex, who are gaining global recognition through their craft.
According to Ofosu, their international success underscores the importance of valuing and promoting Ghana’s cultural heritage.
“I thank God that people like Dancegod, Endurance, Incredible Zigi, Flex, and AfroNita are doing wonders today and going international,” he said.
He noted that their achievements reflect the aspirations of earlier creatives who sought to showcase Ghanaian culture through music and performance but were unable to fully realise their vision at the time.
Ofosu encouraged the young dancers to continue pushing their craft to greater heights, expressing hope that Ghanaian dance will one day achieve the same global recognition as football.
He added that the growing international attention for Ghanaian dance highlights the need for citizens to appreciate and preserve their cultural identity.
