The National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Asiedu Nketiah, has encouraged Ghanaians to remain hopeful about the country’s future, stressing that the nation’s most promising days still lie ahead.
In a message posted on Facebook on Friday, March 6, to mark Ghana’s 69th Independence Day, the NDC chairman called on citizens to focus on building prosperity while restoring hope across the country.
“As we celebrate the 69th Independence Day today, with the theme Building Prosperity, Restoring Hope, let’s remember that our best days are still ahead. They are being shaped, step by step, right now. Happy Independence Day to every Ghanaian, at home and in the Diaspora,” he said.
Mr Asiedu Nketiah noted that the occasion offers an opportunity for citizens to reflect on the resilience and determination that have characterised the Ghanaian people throughout the country’s history.
He added that the commemoration should inspire renewed commitment among citizens to work together in advancing national development, strengthening stability, and promoting unity so that the benefits of independence are felt by all Ghanaians.
