The National Petroleum Authority (NPA), has held consultations with fuel transporters and key industry players as part of efforts to advance the implementation of the Driver and Mate Remuneration Framework.
The engagement focused on strengthening collaboration across the sector, with particular attention on improving data submission processes to ensure accurate and transparent determination of wages for drivers and their assistants.
Participants also discussed measures to guarantee fair and consistent remuneration, while enhancing compliance with agreed standards within the petroleum transportation industry.

The Authority reaffirmed its commitment to promoting fairness, transparency and improved working conditions, noting that the framework is a key step towards safeguarding the welfare of drivers and mates across the country.
