The Ghana Export-Import (GEXIM) Bank, on Thursday, March 26, 2026, brought a series of activities to a close in Accra to mark its 10th anniversary, signalling a renewed strategic direction towards strengthening Ghana’s export sector.
The months-long celebration featured a range of initiatives, including a three-day Agrotech Fair, business tours, capacity-building programmes for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), exhibitions of Made-in-Ghana products, and the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with six Ghanaian firms.
The celebrations culminated in the closing ceremony held on the second day of an international conference, which brought together banks, businesses, and key stakeholders within the export and import sector to deliberate on pathways for growth under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Addressing participants, the Chief Executive of GEXIM, Hon. Sylvester Adinam Mensah, noted that the anniversary had provided valuable lessons for the institution.
He stated that the Bank is poised to transition into a bold future, underpinned by a strengthened commitment to deepening market intelligence and enhancing its support for export-oriented businesses.
He further emphasised that GEXIM remains focused on consolidating its role as a catalyst for industrialisation and trade expansion, positioning Ghana to take full advantage of emerging opportunities within the continental and global marketplace.
