Organisers of the Sacred Crown Awards 2026  say they are undertaking further verification and stakeholder engagement to ensure fairness and integrity in this year’s nomination process.

In a statement signed by Enoch Owusu Kissi, Lead, Communications & Public Affairs, the Awards team said the additional review follows the official announcement of nominees and is part of its commitment to “accuracy, appropriate representation, and the overall integrity of the Awards. “According to the statement, adjustments have been made to selected categories to ensure proper categorisation and to accurately reflect the standing, experience, and contributions of nominees. Updated nominee lists and official flyers will be published through the Awards’ official communication platforms in due course. The Awards also confirmed that a one-week correction and omission window remains open for genuine administrative errors. This covers mistakes relating to names, titles, organisations, designations, categories, and other publication errors.

Organisers, however, clarified that the correction period “does not constitute a reopening of nominations.” All submissions received within the stipulated period will be reviewed before any official amendments are made. “The Sacred Crown Awards remains committed to recognising excellence and meaningful contributions across its three core pillars,” the statement added.

The Sacred Crown Awards, an initiative of His Royal Majesty King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, Ga Mantse and President of the Ga Traditional Council, is expected to be held on 31 October 2026. It seeks to celebrate African excellence, heritage, spirituality and wellness.

The organisers have appealed for the cooperation and understanding of nominees, stakeholders, media partners and the general public as they work to uphold the credibility and professionalism of the Awards.
