The Alliance for Accountable Governance has lashed out the government, accusing it of responsibility for what it said is the worsening plight of Ghanaians.
They have stressed that the living conditions of Ghanaians have worsened since the National Democratic Congress (NDC) assumed the helm of affairs.
Mr. Arnold Boateng, secretary to the group told Citi News on Wednesday that a lot of people are getting frustrated by the economic situation in the country and that the group will be hitting the streets on August 4 to stress their protest to the government.
Citing other reasons why they will be embarking on the demonstration, Mr. Boateng said the government has failed to check the high crime rate and heightened insecurity. “The worsening spate of armed robbery and high cost of living has necessitated our action.”
He said the police has given the group the green light to embark on their demonstration and they are expecting between 10 and 15 thousand people to hit the streets come August 4.
