Mr. Emmanuel Kwadwo Agyekum, Nkoranza South District Chief Executive, has said his administration would ensure a fair distribution of projects among communities.
He called on the people to be united and bury their political differences so they would share ideas and initiate programmes that would bring improvement in their living standards.
Mr. Agyekum was addressing the chiefs and people of Asuoso, Nyinase, Kwafre and Nyanpranase at separate forums as part of a tour of the district.
He expressed concern about poor roads in the area that affects economic activities of the people and promised that the district assembly would do its best to improve the situation.
He told them to initiate development projects in the communities so they would attract support from the government and non-governmental organisations.
Mr. Akrapim Baffoe, Assembly Member, said lack of school classroom blocks, potable water system and good roads as the major challenges that faced the people in the electoral area.
He said the poor water system had caused some of the people to be infected with waterborne diseases and appealed to the district assembly to build some boreholes for the communities.
Mr Baffoe appealed to the assembly to build a clinic at Nyinase to serve the people and the other five communities.
Nana Opoku Kudom, Odikro of Asuoso, appealed to the government to connect the area to the national electricity grid to enhance the development of the community.Source: GNA
