The Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) has congratulated Muslims on the celebration of Eid-ul Fitr and expressed hope that Allah’s blessings during the month-long fast would influence them and all others to contribute positively towards the development of the country.
A statement signed in Accra by General Secretary, Mr Bede Ziedeng, noted that for the Muslim, the ritual of fasting marks a period of self-cleansing, regeneration and the re-establishment of a personal relationship with Allah.
“The period of the Ramadan fast offers itself as an opportunity for Muslims to reflect soberly and take stock of their lives in the preceding year, which then guides them to prepare adequately for the succeeding years,” it said.
“We in the DFP believe that the blessings bestowed by Allah on Muslims during this period will ultimately be extended to our nation,” the statement added.
