The opposition New Patriotic Party in the Central Region says complains about manipulation of the ongoing process to elect constituency executives are misplaced.
Constituency elections for Cape Coast scheduled to take place yesterday was suspended indefinitely after a number of party supporters besieged the regional offices claiming there were some irregularities.
They accuse the constituency executives of blocking attempts by some people from picking nomination forms to contest for positions.
But regional secretary Mr Kwamena Duncan tells Joy News the concerns raised will be investigated and hopes the deadline for electing executives for all the 19 constituencies in the region will be met.
“By the rules and regulations which have been designed by the party’s national council… no single person can skew the process,” Mr Duncan said.
