The Ketu North District Assembly has approved Mr Claver Kofi Lawson, 42, as the District Chief Executive.
He won 96.38 percent approval, having won 28 of the 29 votes cast with one against.
He failed to win the mandatory two-thirds of the votes two weeks ago.
Mr Lawson told the assembly after taking the oath of office that he would pursue a vigorous educational policy and not engage in vindictiveness.
The Deputy Volta Regional Minister, Col. Cyril Necku (rtd), told the new DCE that the task ahead of him was enormous because the district is new and expectations of the people are high.
Mr Moses Azaglo, who was first nominated by the President as DCE for the Assembly failed twice to get the required votes and was therefore replaced.Source: GNA
