What does Mr Osei have to make him think he can be a President? Maybe his good looks- eh? Why did he not join the 17 in 2008? What new ideas does he think he will be bringing to the Ghanaian Presidency? I do not think he has given this question any thought. But does he need to? Obviously- Not!Kufour did not; Atta Mills did not. So why should he? After all 'begging' does not need any special training! We can continue growing our Cocoa; Oil money will soon be here; you do not need any special skills to board airplanes and travel all over the world; building a few more schools, roads- here and there, and introducing some 'ill-planned' social programs- like providing sandals for our school children- you do not need any special planning for these- or do you?He is quite a handsome man- and he is completely qualified to be our next President- or does he? He has all the qualities to be a chief- does he not? He must be carried about in palanquins by the 'Ndonkofour' (slaves)- does he not?Does he know the rate of growth of our population? How about our life expectancy? Does he know the per-capita for our cocoa farmers is less than $200- lower than the national average? He was the most immediate past CEO of the Cocoa Products Company- But who tells you he knows or he cares that he presided over an institution that was contributing 'big time' to the impoverishment of our people?Does he know that Africa is the only continent with diminishing life expectancy of her population? And so he also jumps into the fray- and once again- the jungle fight continues- is it going to be Nana, Cashman Allan, and maybe the soft spoken Prof Frimpong-Boateng or Obrimpongkessiesuburukutatawhi Isaac Osei?God save Ghana!Written by Augustus Aihoon
