Irate youth of the NDC in Tamale have prevented the MP for Tamale Central, Alhaji Inusah Fuseini, from addressing the party’s women wing in the area.
The youth accused Alhaji Fuseini of abandoning them after winning his seat. They have, therefore, vowed never to support his parliamentary bid again.
The meeting was organized for some NDC women’s group but was besieged by the irate group disorganizing the meeting.
The conveyor of the meeting, Abdulai Sani, who confirmed the heckling to Joy News' Mahama Shaibu, said he was overwhelmed by the wrath of the youth.
He said he heard two gunshots, which clearly indicated the intention of the youth to disrupt the meeting.
The MP was, however, not hurt, but Joy News’ attempts to reach him on his mobile phone proved futile.
The youth also blamed the party for failing to give them jobs after coming into power.
