Mr Stephen Ntim, aspiring for New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Chairmanship, on Tuesday launched his campaign for the bid dubbed: "Agenda 2012", at a meeting with NPP constituency delegates in Takoradi.
The aspirant said he was seeking the position to enable him to use his rich experience to help NPP to regain power in 2012.
Mr. Ntim, 51, said: " I am not embarking on an experiment and I want to get the party in power whether or not I win the national chairmanship elections".
He called on party delegates to elect experienced and dedicated members to NPP executive positions.
Mr. Ntim said: "The NPP vehicle is involved in an accident and we need to fix the vehicle before looking for a driver".
He called for the selection of a vibrant national executive, irrespective of the background of the flagbearer of the party adding that "let us not put the cart in front of the horse".
Mr Ntim said he would take steps to resolve all election related disputes after NPP national congress, and respect constitution of the party.
