Confusion has broken out at the ongoing New Patriotic Party Ashanti Regional conference in Kumasi.
This came about as the eligibility of some delegates from Obuasi has been questioned.
According to Luv News correspondent, Elton John Brobbey who is covering the conference, both old and newly elected executives from Obuasi have filed to vote to elect regional executives, a situation some delegates would not take kindly to.
The NPP's conference in the region has been postponed several times due to court injunctions and internal wrangling among the top hierarchy of the party in the region.
About 100 policemen are policing the conference, which is the last to be cleared before the party holds its national delegates conference, scheduled for the 27th of February.
