The constitutional review committee has begun a comprehensive collation of proposals from the general public.
Already, 39 of the proposals, according to the chairman of the committee, Albert Fiadjor is the most prevalent.
Speaking to Joy News, Mr Fiadjor maintained that all proposals received by the committee will be thoroughly scrutinized.
He dismissed assertions that the review of the constitution was elitist.
Mr Fiadjor explained the constitution can only be altered in three forms; by developing conventions, proactive judicial interpretation and by referendum processes.
He believes the review process by the committee offers the best solution to improving the country’s constitution.
Executive Secretary of the committee Raymond Atuguba told Joy News’ Dzifa Bampoe the proposals submitted will be tested for their “factual integrity” and “legal integrity.”
He reckoned some of the proposals brought to the committee were factually inaccurate whilst some had no legal basis.
The review committee was constituted by President Mills to address some of the challenges confronting the 1992 constitution which has been in operation for 18 years.
