One of the aspirants vying for the chairmanship position of the New Patriotic Party is urging leadership to organize a peaceful National Delegates Conference.
Stephen Ntim is admonishing party executive to avoid dirty politicking which he alleged characterized the previous election.
Mr Ntim lost the National chairmanship race to Peter Mac Manu in 2004 in a hotly contested election despite perceptions that the then president, Mr John Kufuor was behind him.
He believes he is in a good stead to occupy the party’s top notch position in a conference scheduled on the February, 27, 2010.
Speaking to Joy News, Nana Owusu Poku, who is strategist to Stephen Ntim said his boss’ campaign message has resonated well with the delegates and hopes of massive victory.
He also called for fair play ahead of the elections. Mr Ntim is expected to organize a press conference on Monday to round up his long campaign.
Mr. Ntim faces stiff opposition from Jake Obetsebi Lamptey, Felix Owusu Agyapong, Dr. Charles Wereku-Brobby and Mr Sammy Crabbe.
