The Minority has temporarily called off its two-day boycott of parliamentary proceedings. Its leader Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu announced this on Tuesday. The group walked out of parliament on Friday in protest of the arrest of an NPP sympathizer, Nana Darkwa who alleged on a radio station that ex-president Rawlings was responsible for burning his own residence.Darkwa was remanded in court for two weeks by a circuit court on Thursday but that decision was overturned by the High court the following day.Despite his release, the minority insisted on carrying out their boycott until the Attorney General discontinues with the prosecution. With no indication that the AG has filed for a nolle prosequi, it is not clear whether the minority will again stage another boycott should the circuit court goes ahead to sit on the case on March 3.MP for Nsawam-Aburi, O.B Amoah told Joy News the decision to call off the boycott was informed by a High Court ruling which granted Nana Darkwa bail on Friday.Source: Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
