The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has accused the ruling party of deliberately not showing up at the opposition party's recently held national delegates’ congress in Kumasi.
The party says claims by the National Democratic Congress (NDC) suggesting they were not invited are false.
The NPP has issued documents indicating receipts of invitation letters from the various political parties including the NDC.
The NPP wants the ruling party to retract statements suggesting they ruling party was not invited.
Communications Director of the NPP Kwaku Kwarteng said the opposition party is putting out the documents so the public is not misinformed.
“Now we have put this out in order that the public will know the full facts; We think it is healthy for our democracy that democracy that relationships be clean; political parties be cordial. We hope that this will conclude the matter and that the NDC retract their denial and apologise to the people of this country,” Mr Kwarteng said.
