Mr Kobina Tahir Hammond, Member of Parliament for Adansi Asokwa, on Friday said providing offices for Parliamentarians in Accra is more pressing than those needed in the various constituencies.Contributing to debates in Parliament on Friday on the President's State of the Nation Address, he thanked President Mills for the promise to provide MPs with offices but added "we need offices in Accra first".
Mr Hammond said lack of offices for MPs was creating a lot of problems for members and called on the President to provide them with an office space.
He advised government not to put too much hope on the oil discovery as basis for the economic take-off of the country.
Mr Alfred Abanateye Member for Sege, accused the previous government of overspending the Ghana Educational Trust Fund (GETFund) which led to many uncompleted projects.Source: GNA
