A Deputy Information Minister Samuel Okudjzto Ablakwa has admonished Attorney General Betty Mould Iddrisu to keep mute and remain focused on her job.According to him, Betty’s workload is huge and does not need unneccessary disruptions.Madam Mould Iddrisu has been heavily criticized for being unable to prosecute corrupt past government officials who served under the erstwhile New Patriotic Party (NPP).She was accused of not doing enough in this regard because of her association with some NPP bigwigs including the party’s flagbearer for the 2008 general election Nana Addo Danquah Akuffo-Addo.Responding to the accusations, the A-G said she cannot possibly flirt with the NPP after she was hounded out of office by former A-G Nana Addo.She further blamed her colleague ministers for not helping her with the necessary evidential documents to start prosecutions.Though Nana Addo has denied hounding her out of office, Madam Mould Iddrisu maintains he did.She told the Inquirer Newspaper that she still stands by her assertion that she was kicked out and that Nana Addo is suffering from selective memory.She noted that there were times when Nana came to meet her in the office and asked her “are you still here?”.Sympathising with the situation of the Attorney General, Mr Ablakwa noted, it would be better if she rather focused on her work.He was speaking on Metro TV’s Good Morning Ghana programme Friday.Member of Parliament for Okaikoi South, Nana Akomea, a co-panelist on the show shared the same position as the deputy information minister.He noted that bringing Nana and ex president Kufuor in the matter would make her lose public sympathy.Listen to the attached audio for moreBy: Dorcas Efe Mensah/Myjoyonline.com/Ghana
