The opposition New Patriotic Party has set July 3, 2010 to elect the flag bearer for the party ahead of the 2012 general elections.
The decision was taken after a National Executive Council meeting on Wednesday.
Nomination for the position is expected to open today 31st March, 2010 and will close on May 7, 2010.
The filing fee however is yet to be known. Speaking to Joy News’ Dzifa Bampoh the General Secretary of the party Mr Kwadwo Owusu Afriyie said the aspirants will be told about the filing fee when they come to pick their forms.
He however dismissed earlier suggestions that the filing fee is 50,000 Ghana cedis, saying the fee is no where near that amount.
