The 2008 Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is lacing his boots to kick-start his campaign for the party’s Presidential slot as he unveils his posters for the 2012 polls.The posters have a smiling Nana Addo in fugu with a message, “Nana, ye ni dasuo for 2012”, to wit “Nana, our hope for victory 2012”.His first port of call will be the Central Region where he is expected to visit with his team.He is expected to meet with key and influential people in the party, including potential delegates, to sell his message to them.The NPP has scheduled its congress for August 7, 2010 after opening nominations.So far, only Professor Kwabena Frimpong-Boateng, the celebrated heart surgeon and Evangelist Kwame Koduah, a Kumasi-based private legal practitioner, have picked up nomination forms to run for the NPP flagbearship for the 2012 elections.The rest, including Nana Addo and Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen, his main contender for the position, and Isaac Osei, Member of Parliament for Subin in the Ashanti region who has launched and started his campaign, are yet to pick and file their nominations.Source: Daily Guide
