A flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party, Mr Kwame Kodua has said that campaign messages adopted by his colleague aspirants cannot solve the problems of the country.
Mr Kwame Kodua, a private legal practitioner is among three candidates who have so far picked up nomination forms to lead the party in the 2012 election. He says he is rather focusing his attention on preaching the word of God to the delegates.
He believes that it only when people’s hearts are turned to God that the country can prosper, adding that his message is receiving a lot of attention.
Speaking to Luv FM’s Yaw Anso Gyeabour, Mr Kodua said, “I want to turn the heart of my country and my people to God because our founding fathers have been saying you seek first the political kingdom and all other things can be added but I think we should rather seek God’s righteousness because when we pursue the righteousness of God, the Lord will come into our camp and help us.”
“I believe that, God gave us the manual for this world which he created so you cannot be far from the word of God and hope to be able to build a viable country that is why I think we must put God first so I want to put him first,” he added.
Asked what next after the people have been turned to God, his response was, “when they are turned to God...God will be leading you. He will tell you what to do; he will be telling you where to go and how to benefit you. When you put him first, all other things follow. He will show you what to do.”
Making reference to biblical Joseph, Mr Kodua strongly believes God will guide and lead the country to prosperity under his leadership.
