Black Satellites World Cup winning coach Sellas Tetteh says he will not play any part in the 2010 World Cup.
He would rather concentrate on building a winsome Rwandan side where he has been contracted as coach.
He made the revelation in an interview with the media after a colourful launch of his new book “Sellas Tetteh, My Success Story” in Accra on Tuesday.
George Weah, former World Player of the Year and ex-skipper of the Liberian national team had on Joy FM recommended that Sellas Tetteh be drafted into the Black Stars technical team. The suggestion has since generated a lively debate with many supporting the call.
Former Ghana Football Association chairman, Lepowura MND Jawula, and aide to President J.E.A. Mills, Nii Lantey Vanderpuije, who were among invitees to the launching ceremony supported the call to make Sellas Tetteh a part of the Black Stars' technical team for the World Cup.
But Mr Tetteh in his response said he has a commitment to the Rwandan job at least for time being.
“My immediate assignment is to get back to Rwanda to continue my job.
“We have a return leg to play against Tanzania on the sixth of June which we're praying that the good Lord should make us win."
Asked if he would accept to join the team for the World Cup if the offer came, he said: “I don’t know why people are pushing this agenda, but I'm not looking at anything than to look at the Rwandan job".
