The opposition New Patriotic Party says it will not take any disciplinary action against Mr Kwame Pianim over his controversial comments.Mr Pianim said at the campaign launch of Prof. Frimpong Boateng, flag-bearer aspirants of the NPP, that other flag-bearer aspirants of the party could not be said to be clean.His comments attracted a lot of flak from some supporters of the NPP who asked the party to severely sanction him. Some even called on Mr Pianim to apologise for the comments – something he says he will not do arguing he has been misinterpreted.The party said the clarification of Mr Pianim amounted to a retraction and that it will let the matter die a natural death.The decision was reached by the National Executive Council of the party at an emergency Steering Committee Meeting Thursday.Some members of the party were however unhappy with the decision even though they pledged to abide by it.Mr Ayisi Boateng, Founding Member of the NPP, told Joy News leading members of the NPP were encumbered to watch their utterances.“Nobody can tell me that what Mr. Pianim said is not injurious to the integrity of every member of the party, here am not even referring to the flag-bearer aspirants alone.
