President John Dramani Mahama has announced changes in the top hierarchy of the Ghana Armed Forces.
AVM Samson Michael-Oje replaces Vice Admiral Matthew Quarshie as the Chief of Defence Staff. Vice Admiral Quarshie has been appointed an Ambassador Designate.
Air Commodore Maxwell Mantsebi-Tei Nagai has also been appointed Chief of Air Staff. He takes the position of Air Vice Marshall Samson Michael-Oje.
The new Chief of Naval Staff is Commodore Peter Kofi Faido. He replaces Rear Admiral Geoffrey Mawuli Biekro who was appointed the Chief of the Naval Staff of the Ghana Navy on 28 March 2013
The new Chief of Staff at the General Headquarters is Brigadier General Sampson Kudjo Adeti. However, the Chief of Army Staff remains Major General Richard Kwame Opoku Adusei.
